We would like to welcome the motor yacht Satisfaction to the Caribbean crewed charter yacht fleet. Satisfaction is based in the Virgin Islands but will charter other islands as far south as Antigua

Charter Yacht Satisfaction - Crewed, all-inclusive charters - Virgin Islands

Satisfaction is a 56-foot Neptunus motor yacht which specializes in 2-person charters. The guest cabin is the mid-ship master cabin that has a Queen walkaround bed, TV/DVD player, and an ensuite bath with a stall shower and electric head.

Satisfaction has one of our favorite crews, Rik & Ann Allen, former owner/crew of Sandcastle.

Satisfaction is available for term charter as well as day sails.

• Children: No minimum age for children but must sleep with parents, included in daily rate.
• Honeymoon special: One spa treatment for each guest on charters of 4 nights or longer.
• Christmas and New Years: $3,100/night for all-inclusive charter, except fuel. Two-night minimum.

 Please note that Satisfaction is a non-smoking yacht.

It was wonderful!

• Did you find your crew to be helpful, accommodating and friendly?

Rik and Ann treated us like old friends.  They were very helpful, and so much fun!  We were a tough bunch--picky eaters (one vegan, one just picky) and they really worked with us to make us incredible meals.  Also, one was 78 years old, one with poor balance….not quick getting around and in and out of boat/dingy, but Ann and Rik were always supportive and patient.  Lots of fun playing Trivial Pursuit and euchre with them.  We really felt at home on the Sandcastle.       

• Was the yacht comfortable, clean and well maintained?

Yes

• How would you describe the quality and presentation of the meals served on board ?

I took pictures, the presentation was so good!  All vegan meals, and great variety.  Really, really good food!  And Rik is a fantastic bartender!

Tivoli will be chartering in Hawaii through March 31, 2014 and then moving up to Alaska for summer yacht charters in and around Juneau and Sitka between mid-May through the end of August, and, weather depending, September.

Tivoli is now offering an all-inclusive rate (with some restrictions) of $49,500/wk for up to 6 or 8 guests for their Alaskan charters this year. For families, they can accommodate up to 8 with use of a pullman berth in 2 of their 3 guest cabins.

The charter fee includes the yacht, 2 tenders (one 18-foot Novurania with twin 50HP outboards & one 13-foot Novurania with single 50HP outboard), 4 professional crew, 3 meals/day including snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, Alaska taxes, generator fuel, yacht fuel for cruising at 9 knots for up to 6 hours/day averaged over the length of the charter, and tender fuel for average of up to 6 hours/day.

Not included in the standard charter fee: customary crew gratuity (15-20%) at charterer's discretion, alcoholic beverages (charged at cost), optional experienced Alaska nature guide/photographer ($400/day), optional fishing license for salmon, bottom fishing, crab and shrimp; optional halibut fishing (which requires hire of a boat and guide).

Explore mountain-framed fjords and pristine bays in the protected waters of the Inside Passage in Alaska’s southeastern panhandle. Get up close to orcas and humpback whales, sea lions, sea otters, seals, bald eagles, horned puffins, and other seabirds. Keep a lookout for bears foraging along the beach. While gazing at the grandeur of the glaciers, you may witness an iceberg calving when huge chunks of glacial ice break off and plunge into the water.

There will be time to discover the region’s traditional cultures, too, including that of the native Tlingits and the heritage established by Russians who settled in Sitka in the 1800s.

With Tivoli's expert on-board naturalist, you can be sure you’ll have unsurpassed opportunities to see all of the wildlife. Charter Yacht McGregor Recipe: Grand Marnier French Toast with an Orange Butter Sauce

Grand Marnier French Toast with an Orange Butter Sauce

By: Chef Julie Brown, Charter Yacht McGregor II

Serving Size: 6

Ingredients:

FRENCH TOAST

• 12 slices French Bread, cut 1 1/2″ thick
• 6 ounces Cream Cheese
• 6 ounces Orange Marmalade
• 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
• 1 1/2 cups Half and Half
• 1/4 cup Orange Juice
• 8 large Eggs
• 2 teaspoons Nutmeg, freshly ground

ORANGE BUTTER SYRUP

• 1/2 cup Butter
• 1/4 cup Orange Juice
• 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
• 1 cup Powdered Sugar

Method:

Using a sharp bread knife, make a pocket in each slice of bread. Place a small slice of cream cheese inside. Add orange marmalade to the pocket.

Beat together the eggs, cream, Grand Marnier, orange juice and nutmeg.

Pour egg mixture over the bread, and let stand 5 minutes.

Fry each slice in butter until golden brown. Remove to a cookie sheet and place in a warm oven (350 degrees). The toast will puff up and finish cooking through in the oven.

For the orange butter syrup, melt all ingredients together in a small saucepan.

To serve: Spoon syrup on the plates, add 2 slices french toast and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Garnish with fresh oranges or mint.

Goes great with mimosas!
