US Passport Renewals

Do You Need To Renew Your Passport?
 

The State Department is struggling with a backlog of passport applications, just as many Americans are making plans to travel abroad. The department says mail delays, a shutdown of their online booking system, and staffing shortages are part of the problem -- CBS News, July 23, 2021.
 
Most countries demand that you have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months when you arrive in their country. Please take this into account when booking your charter. 

One great thing about yacht charters taking place within the US Virgin Islands is that passports are not necessary for Americans. Passports are required if you charter in the British Virgin Islands or elsewhere,

Catamaran Rapscallion - Crewed Yacht Charters in the Virgin Islands

Rapscallion is a 2018, 45-foot Lagoon catamaran with an American crew of two. This beautiful catamaran is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to six guests. The three guest cabins each feature a queen-sized  berth, 2 USB ports, and ensuite head which includes an electric-flush toilet, stall shower, and sink/vanity.

Rapscallion has many louging areas: a lovely salon with easy access to the galley, the flybridge up top having bench seating with bimini top and padded sunbeds, the aft cockpit which is ideal for al fresco meals, as well as the U-shape forward cockpit.

Stephanie and Captain Ryan have found a partnership aboard that sets them worlds apart from others, working in perfect harmony as Captain and Crew. They are also loving partners in life, working and living their dream.
 
This crew is fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

 
Ryan Adelmann - Captain
 
Ryan was introduced to sailing at the young age of 8. Raised in Minnesota, he learned the finer points of sailing on the numerous lakes and rivers, including the Great Lakes. By his late adolescent years, he had sailed the Florida Keys, Bahamian Islands and had spent many months off the N.E. coast, fine tuning his passion for the sea. Though life guided him through many ventures including a prosperous run in semiconductor manufacturing and real estate investing, the “Pirate” in Ryan hailed strong!
 
Holding a 100GT Master USCG Mariner’s Credential along with STCW (International Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers), Auxiliary Sail endorsement, BVI Boatmaster endorsement, he is also safety-trained and certified in CPR, First Aid, AED and Child CPR. Ryan’s numerous land-based safety credentials have translated easily as he learned to “breathe” underwater as a PADI certified diver.

Ryan’s quick wit, plethora of bad jokes and charm have earned him a reputation second to none.
 
 
Stephanie Grace Simpson - Chef / First Mate
 
Stephanie hails from Memphis, Tennessee. With her sweet southern charm, Stephanie strives to give you an experience to never be forgotten. Her passion for pleasing is apparent once board, whether she is “mermaiding” her way through the waters to show you the beautiful aquatic life or when you sit at her table and she presents your specially considered meals, she shines with enthusiasm and joy.

Stephanie is certified in STCW; Personal Safety, Survival, Social Responsibilities and CPR. She also holds an Advanced Open Water scuba certification. 
 
In her downtime she loves to hike the many trails of the Virgin Islands, beach comb for unique shells, and simply relax in her island home, swaying in the breeze in her hammock, reading or just enjoying mother nature at her finest.

From the moment we got out of the cab in St Thomas we knew it was going to be an awesome vacation with Steph and Ryan. They were so welcoming and so excited to meet us. Rapscallion was the perfect choice for our group. It was beautiful. Plenty of room inside and out. 
 
The food Steph prepared was out of this world. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. All were beautifully presented and very delicious. 
 
The US Virgin Islands was spectacular. Ryan and Steph put together an itinerary based on our requests that showed us the best areas. This trip exceeded any and all expectations. Can't say enough about our new friends Ryan and Steph. They made all our dreams come true with this trip. It was most relaxed and fun trip any of us had ever had. The scenery, the food and drinks, snorkeling, shopping, sailing and all the great floating toys on the boat were spectacular. It was a trip we will remember for a lifetime.

More Than Just A Name

Catamaran Ultra - All-inclusive yacht charters in the Virgin Islands
 
 
Ultra, a 63-foot Lagoon power catamaran with an excellent crew of two (remember Drumbeat?), is available for all-inclusive, crewed sailing vacations in the Virgin Islands for parties of up to 8 guests.
 
With an abundance of both inside and outside space, guests have the freedom to lounge and dine in a variety of areas such as the salon with satellite TV, the spacious aft cockpit and the large flybridge giving a 360-degree view from the top.

Ultra accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 cabins (3 Queens & 1 Twin with bunks) each with private ensuite heads with sink, stall shower, electric-flush toilet. The master cabin is well appointed with a sofa, large closets, and drawers. There are also USB outlets to charge devices in each cabin.

Their hydraulic dinghy platform does double duty at anchor. It can be lowered down to water level to become an area to sit and hang out, dipping your toes and having easy access to the clear, blue Caribbean water.

AMENITIES
 
Ultra is well-equipped for active guests with waterskis, tube, wakeboard, 2 one-person kayaks, 2 standup paddleboards (SUPs), snorkel gear, floating mats, beach games, and fishing equipment. And, if you just want to relax and chill out, you can do that too.

Other amenities include their 14-foot dinghy with 60HP motor, satellite TV, plenty of movies and a variety of music for your entertainment, along with onboard wifi. There is a surround sound system in the main salon, aft cockpit, and flybridge.

 
AVAILABILITY

Ultra is a very popular yacht. They are booked up through the summer and their first open week begins November 13, 2021. Ultra is currently open for Thanksgiving but booked for Christmas and New Years.
 
Ultra is legal for USVI-only charters.
