About s/y Savarona

Built in 2001, and always kept in meticulous condition, SAVARONA is a 95' custom CNB sloop, designed for luxury cruising with serious sailing capability.

Savarona is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 cabins.  The master cabin (forward) has a double bed to starboard side, en suite stall shower plus his and her toilet & washbasin. The VIP cabin has a double bed to port side with en suite stall shower & toilet. The twin cabin has two lower twin beds to port & starboard, en suite stall shower & toilet.

Recent extensive refit: new deck, exterior paint, new toilets, new AC, new generator, engine, new rigging, standard hatches replaced with flush, new Miele stove & cook top, New B&G H5000 electronics, extensive varnish work, new upholstery & bedding, new deck canvasses, new Doyle ICE fiber sails 2016.

Charter Yacht ANAHITA - Updates on upgrades

The charter yacht ANAHITA, our very popular Dynamique 62, has undergone recent upgrades during her time in the Caribbean this winter. She is bright with new bottom paint and her rig, engine, winches, main sail and jib were overhauled, making her even more suitable for any kind of cruising.

As for creature comforts, all interior cushion covers were replaced and the bed in the starboard cabin and the lower bed in the port cabin were enlarged. A new 13' Oceanus AB tender with console was just purchased in St. Maarten and further updated with a new and attractive canvas cover.

She will be heading for the Mediterranean on May 1st for her summer season with two berths available for the trans-Atlantic crossing.

Once in the Med, Anahita will be in France and West Italy, including Corsica, in June and September. Then she will move to Croatia, Montenegro and the Greek Islands for July and August charters.

BLU MOON, Summer 2007 Vacation

We sent an email to some of our favorite charter boats to ask what they did on THEIR summer vacation.

Here's what we learned about Chris & Julie, owner-operators of the 50-foot Beneteau, BLU MOON.



Chris & Julie, on sailing vessel Blu Moon, have spent the summer working on their 200+ year old farmhouse in southwest France, which is renowned for producing sunflowers, red wine, chèvre goat cheese, and foie gras. They purchased the “fixer-upper” in 2004, and have just finished their 3rd summer working on the outside of the house, building a lower terrace and stone barbeque, and coordinating an addition that is being built by a French stone mason and artisan. In June, their roof will be redone in the traditional French style, and next summer they plan on gutting the interior of the house.

The supervisors of their house renovation are their two 10-year old Australian Shepherds, Hannah and Mick, who live with a foster family during the chartering season.

Being sick this past week has given me the time to do some work on our website. I created a special page (http://www.paradiseconnections.com/barges.html) to access the various barge brochures, rather than accessing them from the "More Yachts and Rates" page.

I also created an electronic brochure for the French barge, LA BELLE EPOQUE, which cruises the Nivernais canal in the Bourgogne / Burgundy region of France between Auxerre (meet in Paris) and Clamecy.



The 12/13 passenger La Belle Epoque is a state-of-the art luxury hotel barge and sistership to L'impressionniste. La Belle Epoque has been designed with both elegance and passenger comfort in mind, and offers a sun-deck spa pool, chartroom, wood paneled saloon and dining room, together with other luxury facilities, all fully air-conditioned.

The spacious cabins offer a choice of twin or double beds, with marble en-suite facilities. The Captain leads a crew of five, comprising Master Chef, Tour guide, HouseKeeper and Stewardess.

Besides their standard itinerary, theme cruises are available for full-boat charters (book the boat for your group of 10-13 people). Theme cruises are: Family, Cycling, Walking, Wine.
