Introducing Charter Catamaran Dreamcatcher

Welcome Catamaran Dreamcatcher

Charter Catamaran Dreamcatcher - Virgin Islands Sailing Vacations

DREAMCATCHER is a 47-foot Lagoon catamaran with an owner-operator crew of two, Captain Jake & Chef Stephanie, plus their two canine mates, Daisy & Roscoe.

Dreamcatcher accommodates up to 7 guests in 3 Queen cabins with ensuite head. and a single berth suitable for child. The two port guest cabins are separated by a small lounge area which ensures quiet and privacy for each room. This area can also be configured to sleep a child by converting the sofa to a small, single bed.

About The Crew

CAPTAIN JAKE:
Jake lives by the motto “Be the random acts of kindness.” He cares deeply about the people that come into his life and goes out of his way for them. He wants new friends coming aboard to know; “We live on our boat year-round. We want our guests to feel like it is their home as well while they are with us. We want to welcome them into our lives so they can enjoy what we get to see and do every day.”

CHEF STEPHANIE:
Stephanie’s motto is “Live your best life”. For her, that also means making sure that her guests are living their best lives every minute they’re on board DREAMCATCHER. She says, “Most people come on to our boat as a guest, but leave as family. It is important to me to treat each guest like I would a dear friend and to pay attention to their needs.“

DAISY & ROSCOE:
Dreamcatcher has two wonderful canine mates, Daisy and Roscoe. Guests love to have these playful companions aboard. With advance reservations, the crew welcomes you to bring your friendly Fido on charter with you. Jake and Stephanie would obviously prefer to keep the dogs on charter as they are part of their family, but will board them on request if someone prefers or has allergies.

They will also sponsor up to 6 students to sail from Grenada to the USVI in the fall of 2020 to build experience, confidence and an understanding of what it takes to work in the industry.

USVI Dog-Friendly Yacht Charter

US Virgin Islands 8-Day
Dog-Friendly Yacht Charter

The Charter Yacht DREAMCATCHER, a 47-foot Lagoon catamaran, has sent us their special dog-friendly itinerary for the US Virgin Islands. We would like to share it with you...

We are your hosts, Jake and Stephanie. We have two wonderful canine mates, Daisy and Roscoe. Guests love to have these playful companions aboard. With advance reservations, we welcome you to bring your friendly Fido on charter with you. We make stops and adjust schedules to make sure that dogs can be walked as needed. Our itinerary is especially designed for all to have an amazing vacation, no matter their number of legs.

Daisy and Roscoe love dinghy rides

Day 1: Yacht Haven Grande Marina, Frenchman’s Bay, Maho Bay, St. John

Welcome aboard DREAMCATCHER! Your private charter catamaran is docked at Yacht Haven Grande Marina. Get settled in, enjoy refreshments, and after a short briefing we set sail. We will drop anchor at nearby Frenchman’s Bay for lunch and a swim. In the afternoon we have a really lovely sail to the island of St John. We will spend the night in Maho Bay. Relax aboard, surrounded by nature’s paradise, or go ashore to hear some live, local music, just across the street.

Day 2: Waterlemon Cay, Coral Bay

After a delicious breakfast on deck we embark on a morning sail to Waterlemon Cay. Take a hike around the Annenberg Sugar Plantation ruins. Cool down with some amazing snorkeling in the bay. The reef is very lively with fish of all sizes, turtles, stingrays, eels, squid and gorgeous corals. It’s easy to spend several hours in this undersea world. In the afternoon we set sail to Coral Bay to spend the night.

Day 3: Hansen Beach, Salt Pond

This morning we sail to dog-friendly Hansen Beach for a little ruff play. It is a very shallow slope into the water, so perfect for the little ones, both kids and dogs. Hansen Bay is a great place to spot turtles, rays, Jacks and Pompano while snorkeling. Next, we head to the very remote East End of St John at Salt Pond Beach to hike Rams Head Trail. Possibly the most scenic trail on St John, it’s a bit rocky, so wear sneakers or hiking sandals. After the hike, cool down with some technicolor snorkeling off Salt Pond Beach.

Day 4: Honeymoon Bay, Cruz Bay

Take a dive off the yacht for a quick pre-breakfast swim. This morning we sail to Honeymoon Beach, nestled in Caneel Bay. Stand in the gentle water of this picture perfect, palm fringed beach and you can clearly see the grains of sand at your feet. The colorful coral reef is wonderful for snorkeling. Dinghy ashore to hike the trail from Caneel Bay to Cruz Bay. Spend the evening in Cruz Bay to enjoy the boutique shops and galleries, drinks, dining and local entertainment.

Day 5: Christmas Cove, Magens Bay

We embark on an exciting morning sail back from St John to St Thomas. Enjoy a pizza pie for lunch and go snorkeling in Christmas Cove. In the afternoon, set sail for Magen's Bay on the rugged north coast. It is considered one of the world's most beautiful anchorages. Swim, snorkel or go beachcombing and check out the restaurants and bars strung along the shore.

Day 6: Mermaid’s Chair, Brewers Bay

This morning we sail to the beautiful and very secluded spot known as Mermaid’s Chair. It’s at the meeting of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a unique area where you can go exploring around large rocks and boulders. Bring your camera!

An afternoon sail to Brewer’s Bay allows for some awesome snorkeling. You’ll see sea turtles, sting rays, and a variety of tropical fish. The long, white-sand beach is free of rocks and the gentle surf is great for kids. Also, not many people around, so you feel like you've got the ocean to yourselves!

Day 7: Flat Cay, Little Buck Island

Spend the morning at Flat Cay, a remote island off the St Thomas coast that feels miles from the bustle of the main island. The shallow Miss Opportunity shipwreck is fascinating to snorkel or dive. Once a hospital ship, then used as an office complex, she was deliberately sunk in 1985. This 300-foot long structure lies on her side in just over 90 feet of water and can be accessed at 40 feet. The wreck has multiple decks to explore. You’ll find sharks, moray eels, huge groupers, and plenty of other creatures hiding in the wreckage. Be sure to bring your camera! Next we sail to Buck Island to snorkel with the turtles.

Day 8: Yacht Haven Grande, Farewell

Sadly, we must say goodbye today. We have many more amazing, dog-friendly places to share with you, your family and friends, while cruising in the beautiful Virgin Islands. We hope that you will keep in touch and return to sail aboard DREAMCATCHER on your next charter vacation.
