CHARTER COMMENTS: Yacht Zephyrus, Florida Keys

We recently had a family of four aboard the charter yacht Zephyrus, a 50-foot Beneteau Oceanis, which is based in Key Largo, Florida. Zephyrus has very reasonable rates and will charter in the Florida Keys, and also out of Miami for SE Florida itineraries. Plus, they do the Bahamas, too.

• How did you enjoy your charter? 

LOVED IT

• How would you describe your crew? Were they courteous, helpful, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable?

We have made new friends. Captain Tim was SO knowledgeable about the history of the area.  The stories were wonderful; we learned a lot. We genuinely enjoyed both Captain Tim and Chelyn’s company.

• Was the yacht comfortable, clean and well maintained?

YES

• How would you describe the quality and presentation of the meals served on board?

Chelyn has it down to a science.  The food was perfectly prepared, presented and DELICIOUS!  Thank goodness we snorkeled multiple times every day!  We all felt very spoiled to have a Captain and a Chef.

• Did the crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?

Absolutely, with respect to food, beverages, activities, all of the above.  Both Captain Tim and Chelyn called in advance to clarify the input.

• How did you find the services offered by Paradise Connections ?

Very responsive.  This was a last minute request and it came together perfectly.

• Would you be interested in taking another yacht vacation in the future?

Definitely.

• If so, would you like to charter the same yacht and crew?

YES!!

• Did you stay in a hotel before or after your charter?

Yes both before and after.  We drove from NC.

• If so, which one and what are your comments?

We stayed at both Aloft in Jacksonville and Elements in Miami – I would recommend both hotels.

• Are there any further comments or suggestions you would like to make to enable Paradise Connections, the yacht, or crew to better serve you and other clients in the future?

No, we made new friends, new memories. It was a great vacation and an excellent value.

Charter Yacht Zephyrus - Sailing Vacations in the Florida Keys and Bahamas

Zephyrus is a 50-foot Beneteau Oceanis sloop, owned and operated by Tim & Chelyn Shaw. The yacht is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 6 guests in three cabins, each with Queen berths and ensuite head/shower. Zephyrus has a 12-foot skiff with 25HP motor, tube, wakeboard, snorkel equipment, floating mats, fishing gear, TV/DVD in salon, iPod dock, PlayStation3, hammock, etc. Zephyrus is a non-smoking yacht.

Tim & Chelyn are both dive instructors (they owned a dive shop in Key Largo) and offer one free dive/week (up to 5 divers) for certified divers or a resort course for non-certified divers for Florida Keys charters (NOT Bahamas). Dive gear to be rented.

SPECIAL OFFER: 

Valid for any new charter booked before December 14, 2013 and taking place before March 31, 2014.  Only $6000/week for up to 6 guests for charters taking place in the Florida Keys or the Bahamas. This full-board rate does not include alcoholic beverages or applicable sales tax and cruising permits (see below). Not to be combined with any other offers.

Sailing and Diving Vacations in the Bahamas

Dream Ketcher has a crew of two and accommodates up to 4 guests for a family charter. The forward guest cabin is a large V-berth and has ensuite private head with toilet & shower. There is a quarter berth after (port side) which is suitable for a young adult/teenager or two young children. The quarter berth can be curtained off for privacy.

Nathalie & Eric

Eric and Nathalie have spent the last couple of years learning all the best spots in the Abaco's and Nathalie has logged over 150 local dives.  She and Eric look forward to sharing their local knowledge with guests and showing them the secret harbors, beautiful cays and the abundant underwater life of the glorious Abaco Islands.  Both Eric and Nathalie have traveled extensively in their previous professional careers promoting international sporting events and are delightful, well educated, engaging and between them speak French, English and Spanish.

Nathalie's cuisine is influenced by her home country of France with a variety of Caribbean and fresh seafood dishes sure to please any palate.  As PADI Dive Instructor, Nathalie is eager to show anyone the wonders below the surface.

Eric, a licensed Canadian sailing instructor, is delighted to share his knowledge and instruct guests in the art of sailing.
