Sailing Vacations in the Virgin Islands (winter) and New England (summer)

S/V Avalanche is a 60-foot, Trehard sloop based in the Virgin Islands in the winter season and Newport in the summer.

Avalanche is an air-conditioned monohull which accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 cabins, each with ensuite head/shower. The 2 mid-ship cabins can be configured as either Queens or Twins depending on the group's make-up.

OPTIONAL ASA LEARN TO SAIL CERTIFICATION

Guests can get ASA certification during the charter for an additional fee. The certification process is 7 days. Sailing instruction covers ASA 101, 103, 104, and 105.

• $115 per course/student
• One time fee of $45/student for course materials
• Instruction: $200/day

VIRGIN ISLANDS Charter Rates:

2 guests: $9,500/wk  --- 3 guests: $9,750/wk
4 guests:$10,500/wk --- 5 guests: $11,750/wk
6 guests: $12,500/wk

NEW ENGLAND Charter Rates:

• 7-night Captain-Only Rates (plus all expenses):

2 guests: $7,500/wk --- 4 guests: $8,500/wk --- 6 guests: $10,500/wk

• Long Weekend Rates (Friday to Sunday): 3 days/2 nights beginning at 9 am the first day to 5 pm on the last day. Captain-Only charter, plus all expenses, up to 6 guests.

2 guests = $2500 --- 4 guests=$3000 --- 6 guests=3500

• Day Sail Rates, Captain-Only: Includes a cooler, ice, bottled water and soft drinks. 12 guests maximum.

Private day sail for up to 6 guests:
- Sunset cruise: 2 hours, $495
- Half-Day sail: 4 hours, $750
- Full-Day sail: 8 hours, $1500

Private day sail for over 6 guests (12 maximum)
- Sunset cruise: 2 hours, $85/person or 12-person flat rate of $990
- Half-Day sail: 4 hours, $125/person or 12-person flat rate of $1500
- Full-Day sail: 8 hours, $250/person or 12-person flat rate of $3000
