We would like to welcome the motor yacht Satisfaction to the Caribbean crewed charter yacht fleet. Satisfaction is based in the Virgin Islands but will charter other islands as far south as Antigua

Charter Yacht Satisfaction - Crewed, all-inclusive charters - Virgin Islands

Satisfaction is a 56-foot Neptunus motor yacht which specializes in 2-person charters. The guest cabin is the mid-ship master cabin that has a Queen walkaround bed, TV/DVD player, and an ensuite bath with a stall shower and electric head.

Satisfaction has one of our favorite crews, Rik & Ann Allen, former owner/crew of Sandcastle.

Satisfaction is available for term charter as well as day sails.

• Children: No minimum age for children but must sleep with parents, included in daily rate.
• Honeymoon special: One spa treatment for each guest on charters of 4 nights or longer.
• Christmas and New Years: $3,100/night for all-inclusive charter, except fuel. Two-night minimum.

 Please note that Satisfaction is a non-smoking yacht.

• How did you enjoy your charter?

It was wonderful!

• Did you find your crew to be helpful, accommodating and friendly?

Rik and Ann treated us like old friends.  They were very helpful, and so much fun!  We were a tough bunch--picky eaters (one vegan, one just picky) and they really worked with us to make us incredible meals.  Also, one was 78 years old, one with poor balance….not quick getting around and in and out of boat/dingy, but Ann and Rik were always supportive and patient.  Lots of fun playing Trivial Pursuit and euchre with them.  We really felt at home on the Sandcastle.       

• Was the yacht comfortable, clean and well maintained?

Yes

• How would you describe the quality and presentation of the meals served on board ?

I took pictures, the presentation was so good!  All vegan meals, and great variety.  Really, really good food!  And Rik is a fantastic bartender!

Catamaran Mango: Welcome to the charter yacht fleet

We would like to welcome the charter catamaran Mango, a 41-foot Lagoon, to the charter yacht fleet.

The Yacht...

Mango is a 41-foot Lagoon catamaran owned and operated by Captain Kelly and Chef Diane. Mango is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 cabins each with Queen berths and ensuite head/shower.

They have an 11-foot dinghy with 18HP motor, 2 kayaks, snorkel gear, floating mats, standup paddleboard (SUP), boogie board with plexiglass window, etc.

Please note that Mango is a non-smoking yacht.

The Crew...

You will definitely have excellent meals and treats aboard as both women have experience in the culinary industry. Dianne looks forward to dazzling guests with a cuisine that mixes Caribbean flavors with French techniques.

Kelly and Diane

Capt. Kelly After attending culinary school, Kelly worked as a baker and cook at a catering company for ten years in Portland, Oregon. Upon leaving the catering business, Kelly put her culinary education together with her computer skills and worked as a consultant, implementing systems and controls in restaurants.

Chef Dianne Dianne began working in the food industry in 1975. She graduated from Western Culinary Institute in 1989 and worked for The Red Lion Hotels. She was a Chef Instructor for 23 years at Le Cordon Bleu Portland (Oregon) and received Chef of the Year twice and several student appreciation awards.

In 2012, they felt it was time for a change. Diane remembered her mom's favorite saying “a turtle only moves forward by sticking out its neck“. They decided it was time to live their dream so Dianne and Kelly sold almost everything they owned, including their house, and moved aboard Mango.

Recent News... 

March 13, 2014

While sailing to Tortola we saw humpback whales between Congo in the US Virgin Islands and Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. The whales pass through this area in February and March on their way north. The babies learn to swim in the warm Caribbean waters.

Our vacation was everything that we had hoped for and more. Storm Petrel was exactly what we were looking for. Captain Phil and Laura made us feel right at home onboard. The boat was clean and comfortable. We were able to use as much water as we wanted throughout the week thanks to the huge tankage on Storm Petrel. Stern showers were frequent with heated water. Captain Phil and Laura offered us many options for daily activities and destinations. The food onboard was plentiful and excellent. Laura cooked to our tastes wonderfully.

We requested sailing and boat handling instruction during our vacation, and Captain Phil proved to be an excellent instructor. He was positive and encouraging. He never yelled at us. We were doing all the boat handling by the end of the second day. Captain Phil also taught us how to windsurf. Our hosts took us to a variety of great snorkeling spots every day. It pays to be on a boat with people who know the islands like the back of their hands. We went places that bareboats aren’t allowed to go. We were truly sad to say goodbye to our hosts on Storm Petrel.

Paradise Connections was very professional throughout the process of booking our vacation. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner, and everything was handled professionally. I do thank you for your services. Paradise Connections is an upstanding company that instilled us with the confidence to pull the trigger on our dream vacation. The resulting vacation was fantastic.

Storm Petrel is a Robert's designed 44-foot Offshore 44 sloop.  Phil Levine is the captain and owner of Storm Petrel.  His chef/crew is his longtime girlfriend, Laura who is a nurse and also has her captain's license. Storm Petrel has two cabins and one head with shower. There is a queen cabin aft and a V-berth cabin forward. Besides enjoying windsurfing, Phil also does kite boarding! He has three kites and a couple of boards on his boat, in addition to his wind surfing gear. They have an 11-foot dinghy with 15HP motor, snorkel equipment, fishing gear, TV/DVD in aft cabin, underwater camera, their windsurfer doubles as a standup paddleboard (SUP), internet access where available...

We'd like to remind you that Storm Petrel charters in New England during the summer months. They are available for day sails, weekends, full weeks... Just let us know and we'll make it happen :)

New England Yacht Charters Updated 2014

This weekend we reinstated our Rates & Yachts page for New England yacht charters.

We have chosen a selection of yachts that we feel will be of best interest to our clients. This page has three sections: Monohull sailboats, Catamarans, Motor yachts. If you don't find what you're looking for on this list, please don't hesitate to ask.

We have some very good "budget boats" such as the very popular Storm Petrel and Sea Witch, while the most expensive yacht we have listed is a motor yacht for $135,000/week (plus expenses).

Many yachts are available for weekends, short charters, and day sails. Contact us for details.

Availability is quite good at present for summer charters in New England. It seems like we always get slammed for last-minute charters so please book ASAP. We don't want you to be disappointed and miss out on a summer sailing vacation.

PARADIGM SHIFT: Yacht Charters: Bahamas Maine Chesapeake

We are pleased to welcome the catamaran PARADIGM SHIFT, a 50-foot St Francis catamaran, to the charter yacht fleet.  Steve and Bonnie are offering crewed yacht charters out of the Exumas in the Bahamas in winter... Maine in July... the Chesapeake for August & September each year.

The charter yacht Paradigm Shift is a 50-foot St Francis catamaran owner-operated by a crew of two, Steven & Bonnie Carrol, plus their small dog Tabasco, a 10-pound Bichon Frieze/Toy Poodle mix.

Paradigm Shift is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 cabins (1 Queen, 2 Doubles) each with ensuite head/shower. The large cockpit is comfortable for lounging and alfresco dining. The cockpit may be fully enclosed for all-weather comfort.
