We are back in Sint Maarten (SXM) for a little bit

Hello from Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten, Netherland Antilles! We are back on the Dutch side for a little bit. We are going to watch the weather and then we plan to sail to St. Barths and then south with our planned destination being Bequia in the Grenadines.

Hurray! We have wifi again in SXM. As some of you know, when we were anchored in Marigot Bay on the French side of St. Martin, We had wifi for about a week and then nothing! We dinghied over to the Dutch side and used the free wifi at MacDonalds for a while, but that was adding to the waistline, taking too much travel time, and too much anxiety for transporting the laptops (especially when we would get an unexpected cloudburst).

We would like to thank Dominique (former owner of the charter yacht La Dolce Vita) for letting us use the wifi at JCs Time Out Boatyard in Sandy Ground. Time Out is located near the French bridge on the lagoon side. JC holds a marine flea market the first Saturday of the month, in season. The first one for next season is scheduled for November 2007.

Here is a picture of our "office" in Marigot at Time Out. The palm fronds covering the picnic table actually sheltered us quite well for the occasional light rain we sometimes had...

We just returned from Anguilla a few days ago. We spent 10 days in Road Bay. We just went for the weekend but decided to stay for their August Monday festivities where they had bands on the beach. Kassav was the main act and we really enjoyed it.
