Sheila & Bob,

Just wanted you to know that our week sailing on Safari with Stephen and Julia was fantastic.  Both made us feel comfortable yet special.  They were extremely thoughtful, helpful and patient with six 60 something clutzes.  Stephen moored the boat in positions that were close to snorkeling areas to conserve our energy and to provide calmer waters for swimming, boarding and sleeping.  He had many great stories and a wonderful sense of humor.  Julia was charming, energetic and a wonderful chef.  We were fed sumptuously and frequently.  They are such a nice couple and had many friends along the way that greeted them with great exuberance.  They freely shared their time with us both on and off Safari, yet had a knack for never intruding.

It was also a perfect conclusion to our vacation to have Teri meet us at the dock.  Safari is a magnificent Cat that she and Stephen have maintained impeccably.  It was a privilege to sail on her.  Of course we wish Teri the very best in her quest to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.

Finally, I would like to thank you for working so seamlessly with our friends Michael and Norman.  You facilitated a trip that converted a dream to reality.

The charter yacht Safari is a 44-foot Lagoon catamaran with a crew of two, Stephen & Julia. Safari is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to six guests in three cabins, each with queen berths and en-suite head. For family charters, 2 additional guests can either sleep in the salon or use the single cabins in each forepeak. The single forepeak cabins are accessible through their deck hatch and not via the interior. Safari has a 14-foot dinghy with 40HP motor, kids & adult waterskis, tube, wakeboard, a one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, standup paddle board (SUP), floating mats, snorkel gear, underwater camera, TV/DVD in salon, iPod hookup, guitar, percussion instruments, Celestron GPS Star Scope, underwater fish light, geocaching kit, etc.

PARADIGM SHIFT: Yacht Charters: Bahamas Maine Chesapeake

We are pleased to welcome the catamaran PARADIGM SHIFT, a 50-foot St Francis catamaran, to the charter yacht fleet.  Steve and Bonnie are offering crewed yacht charters out of the Exumas in the Bahamas in winter... Maine in July... the Chesapeake for August & September each year.

The charter yacht Paradigm Shift is a 50-foot St Francis catamaran owner-operated by a crew of two, Steven & Bonnie Carrol, plus their small dog Tabasco, a 10-pound Bichon Frieze/Toy Poodle mix.

Paradigm Shift is fully air conditioned and accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 cabins (1 Queen, 2 Doubles) each with ensuite head/shower. The large cockpit is comfortable for lounging and alfresco dining. The cockpit may be fully enclosed for all-weather comfort.

They have a 12-foot dinghy with 20HP motor, tube, 2 one-person kayaks, 2 standup paddleboards (SUP's), snorkel gear, floating mats, underwater camera & video, fishing gear includes 2 Ugly stick rod/reels and 2 Stinson rod/reels, beach games, squirt guns, hammock, TV/DVD in salon, etc.

MAINE CHARTERS - JULY

Charter Yacht Promenade: Sail Dive charters in the Virgin Islands

I was just looking at the calendar of Promenade, one of our favorite charter yachts, and found it made me happy and sad.

I'm very happy that they are having an excellent season but sad because they are fully booked up through 16th May 2014. No room for our clients :)

Promenade is open from mid-May through mid-June which should work out for quite a few of you, but then booked solid from June 14th through AUGUST 1st. They are chartering all summer in the Virgin Islands. We always advise trip cancellation insurance in case one of those pesky named storms pop up in our neck of the woods. None last year!

New Years has a hold on dates and I believe it is a pretty serious (inquire). Christmas is OPEN and can end as late as Saturday, December 27. Those are excellent dates.

Promenade is a spacious 65-foot trimaran, with a beam of 35 feet, that accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 cabins (possibly 11 or 12. Inquire).  The two forward cabins have Queen berths and ensuite head/shower, while the 3 aft cabins (one Queen, and two cabins that can either be configured as Twins or a King) share 2 heads with showers.

Promenade is an excellent choice for families or a group of friends, whether you dive or not, as there's plenty of things to do. "Will the kids get bored?" you ask... NO WAY!
